Getting Solutions Faster

Here are a few tips to follow that will help us solve your problem faster:

  • Include step-by-step instructions to let us know what we need to do to see the problem you are having. The more detail the better.
  • Include entries from any relevant error logs, if you have a 500 server error, make sure you get the error logs from your hosting provider.
  • Include screenshots or short videos demonstrating the problem. Keep videos under 1 or 2 minutes.
  • If relevant, include temporary access to your site by using the temporary login plugin. Use [email protected] as the user email.

Common Troubleshooting steps to try

We’re not going to insist that you do all of these before reaching out, but know that the fast way to getting your problem resolved is often following these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Update all plugins, your active theme, and WordPress itself to the latest versions. Sometimes the problem you’re seeing is one that we know about and have already fixed!
  2. Attempt to isolate the problem by temporarily deactivating all plugins and reactivating them one at a time, noting when the issue returns. Use a staging or test site to avoid disruption of your live site.
  3. Switching to a different theme temporarily to see if the problem goes away.
  4. Make note of any settings changes that cause the problem to show up in specific ways.
